Where should I stay in Denver?
- The conference is at Marriott SpringHill Suites in downtown Denver. Our room block is now full. However, you may call to see if any other rooms are available. Call our conference coordinator at Marriott SpringHill Suites directly to inquire about possible room availability: call Brittany at 720-439-2885.
- Other hotels in the downtown area (within a mile) have rooms available.
How do I get downtown from the airport?
You have a few options to get to downtown Denver from the airport:
- Train - Take the RTD train “A” line from the airport to Union Station in downtown Denver. It takes about 37 minutes from the airport to Union Station and it’s $9 each way. (The conference venue is about 7 blocks from Union Station. Marriott SpringHill Suites provides shuttle service within a 2 mile radius of the hotel. Call Marriott SpringHill Suites to request their shuttle.)
- Taxi - A taxi is $55 (one way) from the airport to downtown.
- Lyft or Uber - Both Lyft & Uber operate in Denver.
- Airport Shuttle (Super Shuttle) - Book a seat on a shared shuttle from the airport to Marriott SpringHill Suites or any other hotel downtown for about $29 one way.
What food and drink is provided at the conference?
- Breakfast is included for everyone staying at Marriott SpringHill Suites.
- Lunch will be served lunch both days of the conference in the private conference area.
- Drinks (coffee, tea, water and soda) is available for the full day on both days of the conference.
- An afternoon snack is provided both days.
Is there a party? And when is it?
- Yes, there is a party! On Thursday evening, September 12th, all conference attendees, sponsors, and speakers are invited to our party at Tap XIV in the ballpark area of downtown Denver.
- Taste of Colorado - Sample 70 Colorado craft beers on tap, Colorado spirits, Colorado ciders, and delicious alpine mountain eats - all included in your conference pass.
- Fun - On Tap XIV’s rooftop deck, you’ll enjoy playing bags (aka corn hole) or giant Jenga, chilling by the fire pit, and of course, chatting with all your old and new EE friends.
Does the conference venue have wifi?
- Yes, the hotel will provide wifi for us. While the hotel has recently upgraded their wifi, we’d appreciate if you use it judiciously (no huge downloads!) during the conference so everyone can check their email and stay connected.
How do I find people digitally at the conference?
- Slack! - To coordinate activities you’d like to do in Denver and chat with other conference attendees, join the #eeconf slack channel. This channel will be active before, during and after the conference. (If you’re not a member of the EE CMS slack community, sign up here.)
